Candle Care

Experience tranquillity and uncover the art of candle care

CANDLES

Trim Your Wick

Neaten your candles wick before each burn for a controlled flame and flicker.

Most wick trimmers are designed to reach down to even the most well used candles. Trim to 3mm tall before each burn.

Use a Candle Topper

The perfect candle companion, try out an aesthetically pleasing candle topper, it'll slow airflow for a steady even burn and wax melt.

Pooling

Allow the candle to pool each time you light. Think about how a wax melt works... you let the whole segment of wax fully liquify and then enjoy the aroma! There’s no difference on a candle AND you’ll avoid tunnelling! (Where the candle only burns down the centre, trust us it’s irreparable)

We recommend a solid candle should be set alight, burning and flickering in all its glory for a minimum of 4 hours. Just don’t leave the house whilst it’s lit!

Stylish Lamp Shades - aren’t just for light-bulbs!

To all our candle loving eco warriors out there. Don’t forget the lamp shade was made for a reason, encourage a perfect clean burn , save energy and decorate your home like an energy saving hero! You'll find plenty of options online.

Use a Candle Snuffer

Peacefully dowse the flame once you've filled your room with beautiful scents and odours, extinguishing your candle in this way helps to prevent the smoke from ruining all our hard work, safe and simple. Plus it's a really great way to avoid any carbon ash from licking up the side of your glass.

Glass Adhesion

It's nearly impossible to achieve perfect glass adhesion for each candle we make! We do a great job of keeping it to a minimum, but just like Monday mornings, you cant get rid of them. Alas air pockets are here to stay.

You might be wondering why we are even broaching this subject and its because we care. Our team here at The Branded Candle Co have spent many an hour heating and cooling our candles, preparing hot and cold conditions for the setting process and using a variety of containers. Now, we don't know a candle connoisseur out there that can guarantee 100% your candle will be air pocket free! That being said we think we've done a pretty good job at managing this little aesthetic problem.

Moving On...

Its always emotional coming to the end few centimetres of your most enjoyable scents. But once your candle has melted down and given all it can give (2cm of life remaining). It's time to say goodbye. Carefully make a wish and add another candle to your shopping cart for checkout. You wouldn't want to be without a candle now would you.
